Celebrated every October, Manufacturing Day is a national initiative that puts a spotlight on manufacturing. In New Mexico, it’s a month-long opportunity to recognize existing New Mexico manufacturers, enhance public knowledge about the economic impact of manufacturing in our state, highlight resources, and introduce students to careers in manufacturing.
In lieu of the month-long celebration, we welcome Rick Thomson, a seasoned business executive to lead our October Expert Connections program. After the first few years of his career on Wall Street, Rich switched to manufacturing endeavors. Half of that time was spent working in various go-to-market roles and the other half managing all facets of high-tech design and manufacturing. Today Rick is managing partner of The Yar Group, an advisory and implementation firm, helping companies to achieve their goals.
